Alhambra

The Plaque Collection

The Alhambra is an iconic hilltop palace and fortress complex in Granada, Andalucia, built in the mid-14th century by the ruling Nasrid dynasty. It is a masterpiece of Islamic architecture.

During the 19th century artists such as Don Rafael Contreras Y Munos and Rafael Rus hand-carved exact scale models of the doorways at the Alhambra in all their astonishing detail – The Alhambra Plaques.

The Plaques in this collection are exact reproductions from the original carvings. There are ten different designs and each one is available both framed and unframed in a number of decorative finishes. They are incomparable works of art.
